Annual cycle for Lodging House Mission.

Anyone wishing to take part or help support the team at this event on Saturday 27 July please contact Gordon Lang.

Lodging House Mission

As you will have seen in the Connections Magazine, three boys from the 278th BB Company will be volunteering at the Lodging House Mission for a week in July as part of their activities for the Boys’ Brigade Queen’s Badge. As well as giving of their time and talents, it would be lovely if they could take along specific items of food and clothing which are always in need. The boys would welcome food donations of sugar, baked beans and tinned meat (corned beef or ham). For clothing the LHM can use boxer shorts, socks, joggers, denim jeans, shoes and belts. All other items are well stocked at the moment so please just what is on the list.

Look out for the boys in the Welcome Hall before the Sunday Services on  21 July to receive donations. If you require assistance or items collected, please contact Elaine Murray.

Joint Communion Services for 2019

It has been agreed by the Kirk Sessions of Netherlee and Stamperland to have joint Communion Services this year. When a church hosts Communion then the Kirk Session in that church is responsible for delivering the Communion Service according to their own tradition.

The dates and venues for 2019 are as follows:

3rd March at Stamperland

2nd June at Netherlee

1st September at Stamperland

1st December at Netherlee

Please note that these Communion Services will start at 10:30am

Glasgow SE Foodbank

Many of us are away on holiday over the summer months and understandably donations to the Foodbank decrease.  If you are around can we ask you to donate the following items – tinned potatoes/custard/rice/macaroni cheese/ravioli/fish, UHT milk, shaving foam and deodorant.  Your donations make a big difference to folks experiencing hardship at the moment.

Worship at Netherlee

Are you aware that if you have been unable to attend worship on a Sunday morning you can see the service from Sunday afternoon online? Many now have a “second look” enjoying seeing the service from a different angle thanks to our operators on the AV Desk. The service is streamed live on YouTube and easily obtained right here on the Website.
