The next meeting of the Book Club will be on 4th May at 8.00pm.  We will be reviewing Jackie Kay’s story of how she found her birth parents “The Red Dust Road”.  New readers welcome.

On 22nd April we are celebrating Netherlee Church’s 90th Anniversary.

After the morning service we are having lunch and would like to reflect favourite foods through the nine decades.

We will be putting sheets of paper on the boards at the back of the large hall and would love you to think about what foods you enjoyed from when you were young – up to the age of around 10 years. We will then use these suggestions to use for the lunch on the 22nd. You should add your suggestion to the decade in which you were under 10 years of age. By doing this we hope to have a selection of foods we can all enjoy. Alternatively you can email either Barbara, Marjorie or Catherine to give us your suggestions.

We are looking for some people who would be able to form a small group that would be interested in helping members of the congregation with renewing insurance etc. We are very aware that when it comes to renewing insurance, utilities etc that it can be difficult to ensure that the best deal is obtained. We are looking to see if this is something that would be useful. If interested in finding out what we have in mind, please contact Barbara Cochrane, Community Matters Group.

Thank you for your continued support which is very gratefully received.  At the moment there is a particular shortage of coffee, toothpaste, gents toiletries, soap and jam and a surplus of soup, beans and pasta.

Members are reminded that our monthly magazine LINK is available on line. If interested, please complete a Members Contact Details form in the Welcome desk and place in the office tray in the Welcome Hall. This will help us to reduce the number of paper copies. Thanks.

Are you aware that if you have been unable to attend worship on a Sunday morning you can see the service from Sunday afternoon online? Many now have a “second look” enjoying seeing the service from a different angle thanks to our operators on the AV Desk. The service is streamed live on YouTube and easily obtained right here on the Website.
