Beetle Drive

A Beetle Drive in aid of Poppyscotland will be held in the large hall on Saturday 21 September at 7.00pm. Come along, bring a friend.

Sponsored Cycle

At the end of September Alison McKean and her friend Michelle Nicol are heading to Vietnam and Cambodia to cycle 450km across these two countries to raise funds for the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice. Alison and Michelle have covered the cost of the trip themselves so all funds raised are going directly to the Hospice to support the great work they do in providing palliative care within the most amazing environment.  To support their fundraising efforts Alison and Michelle will be on their bikes in the Church Hall on Sunday 22nd September and plan to cycle between 9am – 11am.  For a small donation of £1, you can guess the combined distance they will cover which will be recorded on their milometers. There is a prize of a gift hamper for the closest guess.  Sheets to record you guess will be available during coffee after the service on 15 and 22 September.  In addition there will be home baking for sale. Any support is greatly appreciated.

Joint Communion Services for 2019

It has been agreed by the Kirk Sessions of Netherlee and Stamperland to have joint Communion Services this year. When a church hosts Communion then the Kirk Session in that church is responsible for delivering the Communion Service according to their own tradition.

The dates and venues for 2019 are as follows:

3rd March at Stamperland

2nd June at Netherlee

1st September at Stamperland

1st December at Netherlee

Please note that these Communion Services will start at 10:30am

Glasgow SE Foodbank

Many thanks for your continued support.  Items from the following list would be much appreciated – UHT milk, shaving foam and deodorant, tinned potatoes/custard/rice/macaroni cheese/ravioli/fish.  No perishables please.  The Trussell Trust is supported by Lakeland if you use their loyalty card.

Worship at Netherlee

Are you aware that if you have been unable to attend worship on a Sunday morning you can see the service from Sunday afternoon online? Many now have a “second look” enjoying seeing the service from a different angle thanks to our operators on the AV Desk. The service is streamed live on YouTube and easily obtained right here on the Website.

Choir at Netherlee
