SHOE BOX APPEAL

In previous years, members of the congregation have been most generous in their support for the Shoe Box Appeal, which aims to bring Christmas cheer to disadvantaged people in Eastern Europe.

In order to maintain this tradition, we would ask your help;

  • Use an average sized shoe box – Wrap the box and lid separately, so that the lid can be removed without tearing the decorative paper.
  • The items to fill the box should if possible include; toothpaste & toothbrush; hat, scarf & gloves; soap; plus, small toy or alternative item, depending on target age group.

While it would be particularly helpful to receive suitably filled boxes, individual items are acceptable and can be left in the large box provided for that purpose in the Welcome Hall up to Sunday 21st October. Filled Shoe boxes should be delivered to the Church by Sunday 28th October at the latest.

For more detailed information please refer to the leaflets available from the desk in the Lessor Sanctuary or contact Alistair Gow.  (Some pre-decorated boxes should be available in the Welcome Hall)

GLASGOW S E FOOD BANK

Thank you for your continued support. Over the school holidays supplies of pasta sauce, tinned tomatoes, fruit, and vegetables, breakfast cereal, tea, coffee, gent’s razors, soap and shampoo are particularly low.  At the moment supplies of soup, beans and pasta are healthy.

WORSHIP AT NETHERLEE

Are you aware that if you have been unable to attend worship on a Sunday morning you can see the service from Sunday afternoon online? Many now have a “second look” enjoying seeing the service from a different angle thanks to our operators on the AV Desk. The service is streamed live on YouTube and easily obtained right here on the Website.
