The Forum

The speaker for the January meeting of the Forum is Rev. David Coleman – chaplain to Eco-Congregation Scotland.  The title of his talk is “Singing when the Earth Burns?  This challenging title is our prompt as we work towards an Eco-congregation award as a joint congregation.  The Forum meeting is on the 20th January at 7.30 in the Lesser Sanctuary at Netherlee.

Glasgow SE Foodbank

Many thanks for your superb support of the Foodbank throughout the year and particularly in the lead up to Christmas.  We were able to give many people not only the usual food bag but a Christmas gift for each family member and a Christmas meal in a bag.  Thank you for your response to our request.  As morning service will be in Stamperland for the next couple of weeks we will not be collecting donations for that time.  Normal service will resume in February.

Soft Toys

We are looking for soft toys, in good condition, for a Toy Tombola to be held at the Starchild event on 28 March in the church.  Please place in labelled box in Welcome Hall.  Thank you.

Worship at Netherlee

Are you aware that if you have been unable to attend worship on a Sunday morning you can see the service from Sunday afternoon online? Many now have a “second look” enjoying seeing the service from a different angle thanks to our operators on the AV Desk. The service is streamed live on YouTube and easily obtained right here on the Website.

Choir at Netherlee

Looking to join a choir this year? Netherlee Church Choir is seeking new members. We are a fun and very sociable choir who enjoy singing along with much laughter and fellowship. Rehearsals are held in the Church on a Thursday evening from 7.45pm (men meet at 7.15pm) until 9.15pm and rehearse on a Sunday morning at 9.30pm for a 45 minute service starting at 10am. For further information please contact the organist at office@netherleechurch.org.
